AB  - David  Draper  passed  away  unexpectedly  in  March  2021  during  the  production  of  this  textbook.  David  was  a  contributing  author  for  both  the  Therapeutic  Ultrasound  and  Diathermy  chapters  since  the  first  edition  of  this  text.  He  was  widely  recognized  as  a  preeminent  scholar  and  authority  in  both  of  those  areas.  His  contributions  to  the  professional  literature  over  many  years  were  extensive  and  he  significantly  expanded  the  body  of  knowledge  relative  to  how  the  clinician  should  use  therapeutic  modalities.  More  importantly,  David  was  a  good  friend  to  me  and  he  was  quite  simply  a  good  human  being.  He  will  be  missed  both  professionally  and  personally.
