AB Negative  numbers  are  preceded  by  a  minus  sign.  Although  the  physical  quantities  used  in  biomechanics  do  not  have  values  that  are  less  than  zero  in  magnitude,  the  minus  sign  is  often  used  to  indicate  the  direction  opposite  the  direction  regarded  as  positive.
